Its price usually skyrockets when compared to a colorless diamond of the same weight, cut, and clarity. Red diamonds are the rarest and the most highly valued. The largest red diamond in the world is the Moussaieff Red Diamond. It is 5.11 carats and was valued at over seven million dollars by the Gemological Institute of America in 2005.
